    To me there is still some unclear about the whole process.

    I was just aware of your case tonight and I wish to help. I know given I am from the county Heng Ling and my surname is LAU, the chance that my marrow would suit yours is relatively high. Therefore I am going to have a blood test tomorrow i.e. 26 July, I wish luck is with us then.

    Indeed most of my kinsfolk’s family members have a last name of LAU and they are all Heng Ling people. I shall request them to do the test as well since we don’t know who among us can really save you.

    God loves you, and He always listens to prayers. So please stay confident and hopefully we will experience His wonders soon

    I’m Lawrence Lau, Carolyn’s uncle and her mom’s brother (that’s the problem with english, same word for mom’s brother and dad’s brother.) Me and my family emigrated to Vancouver Canada since 1987.

    It is so exciting that you, being a LAU from Heng Ling, responded. It is very important to spread the word to your kinsfolks and their family members and urge them to come forward to register with HK Red Cross as bone marrow stem cell donors. Unrelated matching stem cell donors could only be found from their own ethnic group and ethnic Cchinese stem cell donor is seriously under-represented on the Global Bone Marrow Registry. At present, there is only a 5% chance for Chinese Leukemia patients to find a match worldwide while Caucasians have a 75% chance. We need to raise awareness and urge more of our own ethnic Chinese to come forward and register as bonemarrow stem cell donors to enlarge the data base.

    By registering as a donor, it will not only help to save Carolyn’s life, but the lives of anyone else like her.

    By registering as a donor, you will be on the waiting list to help save lives until you are 60.

    I am writing to send you lots of positive energy and to let u know that I am praying for you. I am an advanced stage breast cancer patient currently receiving treatment. I went thru chemotherapy and surgery already and will be starting radiation and herceptin very soon. Like you, I have a wonderful family behind me. Like you, I try my best to be brave and embrace every challenge that comes before me. Unlike you though, I have a 9 year-old son with mental and physical disabilities. He couldn’t walk nor talk like other children. He still drools and wears a bib like a baby. But he is the reason I live, and he’s the inspiration of me and many people. During the time since my dx (Jan this year) till now, I have received so many amazing support with regards to my healing and my son’s caregiving. Time and time again I find love that cannot come from anything but God. He lent me strength and provided me with refuge. He sent me angels and messengers all the way through my journey to tell me what is in His plan for me. I know you are a brave woman but I do hope that you can find love and peace in God cuz this I believe will be your greatest blessing. Last but not least, I’d like to share with you a Bible verse.
    Jer 29:11 (NIV) “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
    Whatever that may happen to you is all in the hands of our merciful Lord – and it happens for a reason you and I may not know now.
    I do wish you all the best. and p.s. my friend saw you at the TCM doctor Shen’s office. I hope he is helping you. I saw another TCM and I find him helping me too. I just recently picked up Guolin Qigong which is supposed to have anti-cancer properties. If you’re interested, let me know. (write me via email)

The only person in my life that had cancer was my grandmother who had rectal cancer. Anyway, I take wushu classes at a school in Vancouver under Master Helen Liang.     I am a diabetic patient so I am not qualified to be a doner. I wish I could though. I really do. WHat I can do is to pray for you. God is love and merciful. He is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. Have faith and Trust in Him. Miracles do happen. God has His own ways and own plan.
